Today's Word of Wonder: Overcoming
The Scripture Spotlight for Today
"But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."— 1 Corinthians 15:57 (NIV)
The Devotion: Living From the Win
In sports, victory is something you achieve at the end of the game. But in the spiritual life, the "game" was won 2,000 years ago. Our Overcoming isn't based on our performance this week; it's based on His performance on the cross.
The WOW Moment today is realizing that you are "Positioned for Victory."
When we do "Heart-Work," we aren't trying to earn God’s love or win His favor. We are simply clearing out the clutter so we can enjoy the victory He has already given us. Victory is the "Heart-Work" of standing firm in the truth that you are loved, forgiven, and empowered. Today, as you finish your week, don't focus on what’s left to do—focus on what has already been done. You are walking in the triumph of the King.
Wonder Prompt (Actionable Reflection)
Today, take a "Victory Lap."
- Action: Take a moment to look back at your journal or your thoughts from the beginning of February. Identify one area where your heart feels "lighter" or "stronger" than it did four weeks ago. Whisper: "Thank You, Lord, for the victory in this." * Shift: Notice how your perspective changes when you stop focusing on the "weeds" and start focusing on the "growth."
- Prayer: "Lord, I thank You for the victory You have given me through Jesus Christ. Thank You for the work You’ve done in my heart this month. I choose to live as an overcomer today. Amen."
