Today's Word of Wonder: Restoration
The Scripture Spotlight for Today
"The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail." — Isaiah 58:11 (NIV)
The Devotion: Hope for the Wilted
In the world of plants, "turgor pressure" is what keeps a stem standing upright. When the plant lacks water, that pressure drops, and it wilts. It’s a physical signal of an internal need. Restoration is the spiritual process of re-filling. It’s the Holy Spirit pouring back into the empty spaces of your heart until your "pressure" returns and you can stand tall again.
The WOW Moment today is realizing that Wilting is an Invitation.
Your exhaustion isn't a failure; it’s a signal to return to the Spring. God doesn't wait for you to be "un-wilted" to love you; He comes to you in the sun-scorched land to guide you to the water. Today, the miracle in the ordinary is how quickly life returns when we stop trying to be strong on our own and simply sit at the Gardener’s feet.
