Today's Word of Wonder: Regeneration

The Scripture Spotlight for Today

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
— 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)

The Devotion: The Heart of the Fresh Start

In the natural world, Regeneration is the process by which some organisms replace or restore lost or damaged tissues. In the spiritual world, it is even more radical. It’s not just a repair; it’s a total replacement. The "old man" didn't just get a haircut; he died in the tomb. The person who stood up is entirely new.

The WOW Moment today is realizing that God doesn't Recycle; He Creates.

We often struggle to feel "vibrant" because we are still listening to the whispers of our old identity. We remember the failures of the wilderness and think they define us. But the Resurrection says otherwise. If you are in Christ, your past is not just forgiven—it’s functionally gone. You are standing in the first page of a brand-new book. Today, the miracle in the ordinary is the fact that you have permission to start over, right now, with a clean slate and a Resurrection heart.

Wonder Prompt (Actionable Reflection)

Today, practice The Mirror Affirmation.

  • Action: Look at yourself in the mirror at some point today. Don't look at the tired eyes or the hair—look into your own eyes and say: "The old has gone. The new is here. I am a new creation in Christ."

  • Shift: Notice how the "weight" of your history starts to lift when you stop identifying with the person you were before the Garden.

  • Prayer: "Lord, thank You for the gift of a fresh start. Help me to believe that I am who You say I am. I lay down my old labels and I pick up my Resurrection identity today. Amen."
