The Audacity of the Bloom

Today's Word of Wonder: Boldness
The Scripture Spotlight for Today
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
— Joshua 1:9 (NIV)
The Devotion: The Color of Courage
In a garden, the most striking flowers are often the ones that bloom in the least likely places—the desert lily, the alpine rose, the dandelion in the sidewalk crack. These plants possess a biological Boldness. They don't wait for "perfect" conditions to fulfill their purpose.
The WOW Moment today is realizing that your courage is a Response to His presence.
God didn't tell Joshua to be courageous because the situation was easy; He told him to be courageous because He was going with him. In the Vibrant Life, we don't have to "feel" brave to "be" brave. We simply have to remember that the same Power that rolled away the stone is standing right next to us. Today, the miracle in the ordinary is the quiet strength that rises up in your spirit when you stop looking at the rocks and start looking at the Gardener.
Wonder Prompt (Actionable Reflection)
Today, practice The Courageous Stand.
- Action: Identify one "rocky place" in your week ahead—a challenge you’ve been dreading. Physically stand up straight, shoulders back, and say out loud: "The Lord is with me; I will not be discouraged."
- Shift: Notice how your perspective shifts when you occupy your full space as a child of the Resurrection.
- Prayer: "Lord, thank You for Your presence. I lay down my fear and pick up Your courage today. Help me to bloom boldly in every place You lead me this week. Amen."
